"...and really excellent sugar quills, which you can suck in class
and just look like you're thinking what to write next..." (Ron
Weasley, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban)
~*~
"Oh, look they've got deluxe sugar quills
those would last hours!" (Hermione Granger, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood
Prince)
Welcome to the Sugar Quill!
Quills are the Hogwarts choice for writing utensils,
not to mention that feathers are important in lots of ways in HP - just think
what Fawkes' tail feathers have accomplished! But ours is made of sugar, meant
to be sucked in class for the alleviation of boredom and the sweet inspiration
of new thought. Plus, Ron likes them. And hey, that's enough justification for
us, right there.

The Sugar Quill Forums have been experiencing multiple database-related
problems in recent weeks. We are working to determine the exact cause of these
problems. We apologize for both the inconvenience and the lost posts. Until
we can ensure stability in the forums, we are making all of the threads "Read
Only," meaning that visitors will be able to read past discussions but
not actively post. In the meantime, please continue to enjoy the Flourish
and Blotts Fan Fiction Archive! Thank you to everyone for your patience.
"Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth
should that mean that it is not real?" -- Albus Dumbledore, Harry
